The Florida A&M women’s basketball team beat in-state rival Bethune-Cookman Saturday afternoon, in the Rattlers first MEAC battle, 81-57.
The Lady Rattlers rallied in the second half to come away with the huge win in the Moore Gymnasium.
FAMU went on a 14-0 run in the second half to take the 81-57 win, after struggling to get score after the first half.
B-CU was led by Jalissa Isaac with 18 points, and Cleniece Roberts with 14 points.
Florida A&M came into Saturday’s match-up with a road win over Southern Miss., last Tuesday. The Lady Wildcats have now dropped five straight games losing to USF, Florida Atlantic and UCF.
Antonia Bennett(23), Qiana Donald(18), Kimberly Sparkman(17) and Tameka Mckelton(15) all finished with double figure points for the Lady Rattlers.
Florida A&M will travel to Thibodaux, La., to take on Nicholls State on Friday, Dec. 9.
