2017-2018 Godby Volleyball Season Comes to An End

TALLAHASSEE, FLA., (www.franchisesportsonline.net) – The Amos P. Godby Cougars volleyball team began the 2017 season with an opener against North Florida Christian High School (25-1, 6-0), where they lost 3-0, setting the tone for a tough season.

After a season full of long battles to capture a win, the Cougars (2-14, 0-4) headed into districts on Oct. 17 against the Wakulla War Eagles  (14-14, 6-0) with a 2-13 record, needing a win to continue into the second round of districts.

The Cougars season ended when the War Eagles defeated them 3-0. The team’s national ranking dropped 281, now standing at 12311, and their Florida ranking dropped 2, now standing at 500 to conclude their season.

Godby’s two wins came against the Munroe High School Cougars (6-10, 5-9) and the Jefferson County High School (1-14, 0-7).
