Tallahassee, Fla., (www.franchisesportsonline.net) – With National Signing day just around the corner on February 1, 2017, James Blackman, a 6-foot-5, 163 pound pro-style quarterback, makes it clear that his heart is at Florida state University.
In a statement posted this past Monday evening on Twitter through Blackman’s account (@jamesblackman15) states “First and foremost, I would like to thank God for blessing me with all the great opportunities bestowed upon me…. To all the schools that have offered me a chance to enroll and attend at your great institution it is also greatly appreciated and I feel truly blessed. At this time I have decided to forgo all other visits and I will enroll at Florida state University where I feel all my academic and athletic needs will be met and feel at home away from home.”
The Glades Central quarterback from Belle Glade, Fla., had also received 12 other offers from schools such as Miami, Louisville, and Temple, according to 247sports.com.
The three star pro-style quarterback attended FSU for his first official visit this past weekend, closing up his visit Sunday morning with reporters from CBSSports.com, who got the chance to chat with Blackman.
“I had a great time hanging out with the players, the coaches,” QB James Blackman told reporters. “I really loved it.”
Blackman spoke very highly of the coaches and players at FSU. He felt a sense of home away from home, thanks to everyone treating him as if he were already apart of the family.
“Yes, sir,” Blackman responded, according to reports, when asked if he could see Tallahassee being his future home. “Great atmosphere, great players, and when you get around the players they treat you like family, like you’ve been around them since day one. Just a great feeling.”
