Sports Brief: Lincoln’s Head Basketball Coach on Administrative Leave

TALLAHASSEE, FLA., (www.franchisesportsonline.net) – Lincoln High boys basketball head coach Dimitric Salters has been suspended indefinitely, after news surfaced this week. He has been put on administrative leave by the Leon county schools department.

Salters is under investigation due to suspicious actions with the financials of Lincoln’s basketball program. The breaking news was first reported by WCTV and the Tallahassee Democrat.

Salter is in his fourth year as the Trojans head coach and led them to a district championship last season. The Trojans are 19-2 on their season right now, off to a good start with only one game left in the regular season. All eyes on the No. 6 ranked team in the state as the postseason begins next week.

Prior to working for Lincoln, Salters had an explosive start to his career working with East Gadsden High. He had an extremely successful nine years with the program, leading them to five straight championships. He also saw 33 of his players advance into college ball.
