On Saturday, the Florida A&M men’s basketball team got off to a good start en route to a 71-62 victory over Howard University, completing a season sweep of the home-and-home series this year. The Rattlers are hoping to do the same against Delaware State (7-18, 4-6 MEAC) on Monday night in Al Lawson Multipurpose Center.
FAMU (6-16, 4-5 MEAC) defeated the Hornets 81-68 back in Delaware on Jan. 28. Junior guard and forward for the Hornets, Dana Raysor, led his team with a total of 23 points. Freshman Kobe Gantz, along with sophomores Devin Morgan and Demola Onifade, each had a total of five rebounds for DSU.
Juniors Desmond Williams and Derrick Dandridge were the Rattlers leading scorers, both putting up 17 points each. Dandridge also led the team with nine rebounds.
Students with a valid FAMU ID will be granted admission to the game. Tip off is at 8 p.m.
