With just about two months away from the start of the 2012 women’s tackle football season, the Tallahassee Jewels are getting ready to strap on the pads for their first practice in full pads.
For the last two months, the ladies of the Tallahassee Jewels have been conditioning and preparing for their upcoming season.
“We are starting to see the fact that the players are getting stronger and faster,” said coach Andrew Brown. “They are coming along pretty quick.”
The team has been practicing three days a week at Godby high school for their first game on April 14, against the Acadiana Zydecoon, who finished last in their conference last season with a 1-7 record. Continue reading
