TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Former Florida State All-America center Cierra Bravard will compete on a U.S. all-star team in the Four Nations Tournament, held June 28-July 10 in China.
The all-star squad will participate in a three-game Pre-Olympic event against the Chinese, Russian and Australian Olympic teams. Afterwards, the U.S. team will play a series of games against the Chinese national `B’ team.
Bravard, who graduated from Florida State in 2012, joins a squad that includes former collegiate stars Katie Bussey (Montana State), Dawn Evans (James Madison), Ashley Corral (USC), Jence Rhoads (Vanderbilt), Brittany Carter (Memphis), Becky Burke (Louisville), Briana Gilbreath (USC), Amanda Johnson (Oregon), Kristina Santiago (Cal Poly), Becca Tobin (Arizona State) and Kali Bennett (Arizona State).
The Sandusky, Ohio, native captured honorable mention All-America honors in 2011 and was a three-time All-ACC selection. She wrapped up her Seminole career this past season, ranking third in FSU history in games played (131), fourth in blocks (113), sixth in scoring (1,501) and ninth in rebounds (768).
