Fisher Announces Hunter Out for the Season, Expected Back in 2014

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher announced Tyler Hunter had surgery to remove a bulging cervical disc and he will be out for the remainder of the season, but the junior safety is expected to make a full recovery by the start of the 2014 season.


The sixth-ranked Seminoles got two off days following their 63-0 shutout victory over Maryland and returned to practice during their bye week on Tuesday to begin preparation for No. 3 Clemson.

Florida State travels to Memorial Stadium and Frank Howard Field in Clemson, S.C. next Saturday, Oct. 19, for an 8 p.m. matchup with the Tigers that will air on ABC.
