The Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated the lady Rattler basketball team, Friday afternoon 72-64 in the Al Lawson Center.
The (1-2) Rattlers came into the game after playing three games on the road in the Florida area.
The Rattler basketball team got of to a slow start. Jordan Hooper scored six early points to help advance the Huskers to a 14-2 lead. Hooper finished the night with a game high 21 points.
Three of the Rattlers players finished with double-figures; Antonia Bennett Scored a team high 18 points, follwed by Qiana Donald with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds. Tameka Mckelton added 13 points, while Kimberly Sparkman scored 10 points from the bench.
Florida A&M hit 25-of-66 shots from the floor in the game, including 7-of-three-pointers, while hitting 7-of-13 free throws.
Nebraska hit 28-of-68 shots from the field, including 6-0f-19 three-pointers. The Huskers were 10-of-18 from the free throw line.
Nebraska remains undefeated, and will play Florida State at 1 p.m. at the Ticker Center, on Sunday afternoon to continue their three-game road trip.
Florida A&M will go on to face Southern Miss. Nov. 29, before facing the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats.
