Former FSU Player Becky Edwards Prepares for U.S. National Team

Former Florida State All-American Becky Edwards talks with the media about beginning called into camp for the U.S. National team.

She is currently in town training in preparation for the camp. Becky is the second Seminole to be called up to play with the full national team and first since India Trotter played with the full national team at the Algarve Cup in 2006. Becky has spent the last seasons playing in the WPS and has won back-to-back league titles with FC Gold Pride in 2010 and again with the New York Western Flash in 2011. She recently played overseas in Sweden following her championship with the Western Flash.

She will head to Arizona Nov. 7 for a two-week training camp that will end with the USA’s final international match of the year against Sweden on Nov. 19 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
