After an exciting Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference football battle last week, four Rattlers earned top performance honors.
Damien Fleming of Florida A&M was selected as the MEAC Football Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Fleming (QB, 6-3, 205, So., Jacksonville, Fla.) connected on 30-of-37 passes for 399 yards with three touchdowns as he led the Rattlers to a 24-22 victory over Delaware State. Also, Fleming carried the ball nine times for 28 yards and caught one pass for a six-yard gain to amass 433 total offensive yards on the day.
FAMU finished with 519 total yards, while DSU finished with 341.
Almendares (OL, 6-3, 310, Jr., Miami, Fla.) recorded a grade of 91-percent with six pancake blocks as he aided the Rattlers to 519 yards of total offense in a 24-22 victory over Delaware State.
Brandon Davis (FAMU) recorded four tackles, two sacks, one quarterback hurry and a pass break-up in the Rattlers’ victory over Delaware State.
