TALLAHASSEE, FLA., (www.franchisesportsonline.net) – High scoring continues as Noles route Bulldogs 13-4 to complete the three game sweep.

FSU (5-2) kept pouring it on in the final game of the series.  The Seminoles took advantage of their opportunities as they drew 12 walks and smacked eight hits.  Jackson Lueck paced the offense with a 1-for-2 day with five RBIs. Freshman southpaw Drew Parrish made his first career start and went six innings while striking out six and only allowing one run on two hits.

Florida State didn’t wait long to keep this offense heavy series rolling.  JC Flowers got the party started in the second inning with a two-run single and Lueck blew the game open with a bases clearing double to extend the Noles lead to 5-0 in the second.  Every starter managed to cross home plate in what was truly a full team effort.

“With this lineup, we have full confidence in every batter,” said Lueck.  “It was just a matter of time for us to get going and now we feel good so we’ll try to carry it on.”

While the offensive outburst was undoubtedly impressive, coach Mike Martin was yet again awestruck by his left-handed starter. Martin noted that there were a few mistakes during the game that involved freshman, however Parrish or “D-Par” as 11 calls him, was not one of them.

“There was certainly no disappointment with D-Par,” said Martin.  “[Parrish] pitched obviously very well.  That was a very impressive six innings.”

Parrish was also pleased with his outing and also noted that he was surprised that he got the chance to start a game so early in his career.  Thankfully for him Martin confirmed that we will see Parrish again this weekend in the series against Oakland.

The Noles will look to keep the bats hot this Tuesday at Jacksonville (5-2.)  Game time is 5 PM, Andrew Karp will be on the mound
