Florida State defeats UAB Sunday afternoon in Birmingham. Four different Seminoles scored in their win over the Blazers.
The Seminole defense posted their fourth shutout of the season limiting the Blazers to six shots including just two shots on goal, according to seminole.com.
“In the first half, UAB did a good job of coming out and were strong in their defending,” head coach Mark Krikorian told reporters. “Our kids seemed a little bit sluggish and lethargic as the Marquette game on Friday took a little bit out of them. But playing a home game on Friday, getting up and traveling all the way here to Birmingham and having to play against a good UAB team on Sunday is a challenge.
“Overall, it was good performance for us,” Pressley told reporters. “At times we made it a little harder for ourselves in the movements that we chose to make and the balls that we chose to play each other. But coming way with the win and scoring four goals is great.”
Florida State is back in action on Friday, Sept. 9, as they travel to Gainesville to face rival Florida at 7:00 p.m.
