MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – The match between No. 4 Florida State (1-0-0) and No. 16 Marquette (1-0-0) was called with 41 minutes and 34 seconds remaining in regulation due to lightning in the area.

Because lightning was detected for a third time in the match on Sunday and play could not be resumed within three hours from the start of the match per NCAA rule, the game was ruled a not contest.

Despite FSU leading 3-0, the stats will not count and the match will not be reflected in the team’s win-loss record.

Florida State will return to the field on Friday, August 24 as the Seminoles will stay on the road to face No. 12 UCF at 7:00 p.m. EST. Live stats will be available via gametracker, while fans can always receive in-game updates on Twitter @FSU_Soccer.
