FSU Shoots Through UAB

The Seventh-ranked Florida State (5-1-0) recorded its fourth straight victory with a 4-0 win over UAB (2-3-0) on a rainy Sunday afternoon in Birmingham. Four different Seminoles found the back of the net in the win over the Blazers, while Toni Pressley led all players with three points on a goal and an assist to tie a career-high in the win. The Seminole defense posted their fourth shutout of the season limiting the Blazers to six shots including just two shots on goal. Making her first start of the season, Taylor Vancil played all 90 minutes and made two saves to record her first shutout and win as a Seminole. Florida State is back in action on Friday, September 9 as they travel to Gainesville to face intra-state rival Florida at 7:00 p.m.
