Update constantly, as blogs will be posted as the game goes on.
Out here in the press box waiting for the game to start. The fans are already filing in by the hundreds and you can tell that FSU is ready for the challenge.
Update from the Florida Gators game, Chris Rainey just caught an 87-yard touchdown to put the Gators up 29-7.
Pictures of this sea of Garnet and Gold are coming soon.
Just got back to the press box from the field. The crowd is crazy loud and ready for the game to begin.
It was just announced that the following people will be in the starting lineup DB #27 Xavier Rhodes, WR #80 Rashad Greene, OG #60 Jacob Fahrenkrug and C #52 Bryan Stork.
Pregame video coming up in just one moment.
The anticipation is getting crazy. The stands are packed, without an empty seat in the house. Its so loud in here that it’s dead silent.
There is Chief Osceola (I hope I spelled that correctly). He is getting ready to do what is widely considered to be the most popular pregame ritual.
Both teams take the field. FSU will kick to begin the game.
First play of the game is a 6-yard completion to the flats, then a big run.
This OU offense is keeping both the FSU defense and me working really hard. There execution of this hurry-up early on is a site to see.
On the first drive of the game, OU already has 30 passing yards, 33 rushing yards and 5 first downs.
Landry Jones just used a QB sneak to gain the first touchdown of the game. 15 plays 80-yard drive. This is the first set of first half points allowed by the FSU defense this season.
After the injury, Greg Reid will be sitting this kick return out. #80 Rashad Greene and #20 Lamarcus Joyner will be the returners in his place.
E.J. Manuel just overthrew Reliford. Imagine how hard that has to be. The kid is 6’6″.
He makes up for it one play later with a 24-yard run that almost made my jaw drop.
I’m just going to keep my mouth shut because Manuel just had an amazing touchdown pass erased by #52.
In case you guys aren’t following them, the guys from analyze this are taking questions from the game. Check them out @analyzethistv20
A 53-yard field goal is the result of FSU’s first drive of the game. The O-Line has Manuel running for his life out there. If they want any chance to win the game, they are going to have to protect him.
Greg Reid is back on the field and gets a pick within moments. That guy has mastered the art of changing games.
End of the first quarter: OU 7 FSU 3.
Kenny Shaw is down on the field and is not getting up. This could prove to be a big blow for the noles. He is one of the X-factors of this game.
The Noles are in scoring position though. Let’s see how they do on their first redzone trip of the evening.
Manuel just threw his first interception of the game.
Update on Shaw: He has full usage of all his extremities. Thank God he is ok.
Give me just a few more minutes on the pregame video, it shouldnt take much longer.
Sorry for the wait, but here you go.
There is another INT for Manuel. That has got to hurt. On top of that, it was returned all the way to the OU 5 yard line.
That was one heck of a defensive stand by the FSU defense, but an even better decision by Landry Jones to throw the ball out of bounds with only two seconds left in the half.
Halftime score OU 13 FSU 3.
The defenses of both teams have been playing pretty well.
The refs have to know they are going to get boo(ed) to sleep after making a bad call against the home team.
OU is doing a good job of keeping the ball out of Greg Reid’s hands on special teams. SN: There are 84,392 people in the stands tonight. That’s a new FSU record, beating out the game vs. UM in 2004.
EJ Manuel is slow to get up after a brutal hit. Trickett may get an opportunity to show what he has to offer on the next series.
Its just been confirmed that EJ Manuel will be taken back to the locker room to have his left shoulder examined.
And Landry Jones throws another INT trying to go deep. Clint Trickett is on the field for the Noles. He is a product of Florida High.
Trickett is finded Jarred Haggins every time he drops back to pass.
He may not be E.J., but the kid led them on an 8-play 50 yard drive that ends in a field goal #winning. They put up the same amount of points in their respective playing time.
Landry Jones is now OU leading passer all-time. He just passed Sam Bradford on that last completion. Number 1 overall maybe?
Still no sign of E.J. Manuel, but the Noles may not be missing him. Trickett is having himself an almost flawless two series.
I guess I spoke to soon. The moment after the post, he gets sacked.
Booming put by Shawn Powell. 69 yards to be exact.
The stadium is so loud that the press box is shaking. You can hear the rumble all around Tallahassee.
The noise must have got to the punter because he just shanked the kick.
Injury update: E.J. Manuel has a bruised left shoulder, but he is expected to return.
These receivers are making Trickett look like a starter.
Trickett just passed the ball into traffic and came out with a TD. How it happened, I have no idea. That was an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G catch and run by Rashad Greene.
Did I mention that both of those guys are Freshmen?
New score FSU 13 OU 13.
Sorry guys, you will have to watch the rest of the game yourselves. Thanks for tuning in.
