Game Preview: Florida State (10-4 ACC, 19-9) vs. Virginia (8-6 ACC, 21-7)


Tallahassee, Fla. (Feb. 29, 2012) The Florida State Seminoles look to get an ACC win on the road Thursday night against Virginia, after dropping a road game to the University of Miami, earlier this week. The Nole’s have now lost two back to back ACC games against Duke and UM.

Florida State will be up against one of the ACC top defensive teams in the conference tomorrow night in the Civic Center. The Cavaliers lost Saturday to North Carolina, 54-51, which was UVA’s second home lost. Prior to their game against UNC the UVA defeated Maryland and Virginia Tech.

This will be the second match up this season between Florida State and Virginia. The Seminoles defeated the Cavaliers, 58-55 on Feb. 5 at the Donald L. Tucker in Tallahassee.

Sophomore Okaro White led FSU in scoring in the teams first meeting with 13 points. He also tied Xavier Gibson with five boards.

Florida State will take on the Cavaliers in the John Paul Jones Area at 7:00 p.m.
