Florida A&M’s Jennifer Lindsey was named the Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week, while Bria Green of Delaware State earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Lindsey (P, 5-6, Jr., Jacksonville, Fla.) was 2-0 last week with a 0.50 ERA in 14 innings for the Lady Rattlers. In the final game of the series against South Carolina State, the junior pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and one walk.
2010: Lindsey made 25 appearances on the mound for the Lady Rattlers in 2010. She finished the season with a 9-9 record, a 2.76 ERA and 51 strikeouts, as she gave up 123 hits and 43 earned runs in 109 innings. Lindsey tallied a season high five strikeouts against Winston-Salem State (4-2-10) and struck out four against South Carolina State (5-8-10).
High School: Lindsey was a three-sport athlete in softball, bowling and volleyball at Baldwin High School in Baldwin, Fla. She finished her senior season with the team’s highest batting average and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player.
Personal: Jennifer Marie Lindsey was born on July 15, 1991 to Robin and Charles Lindsey in Jacksonville, Fla. She has three siblings, sisters Amanda Keen and Linda Lindsey and brother Charles Lindsey. Lindsey enjoys playing video games in her spare time and is currently majoring in Physical Education.
