FSU Continues Winning Streak

Florida State defeats UAB Sunday afternoon in Birmingham. Four different Seminoles scored in their win over the Blazers.

The Seminole defense posted their fourth shutout of the season limiting the Blazers to six shots including just two shots on goal, according to seminole.com.

“In the first half, UAB did a good job of coming out and were strong in their defending,” head coach Mark Krikorian told reporters. “Our kids seemed a little bit sluggish and lethargic as the Marquette game on Friday took a little bit out of them.  But playing a home game on Friday, getting up and traveling all the way here to Birmingham and having to play against a good UAB team on Sunday is a challenge.

Lady Rattlers Fall In Home Opener

The Lady Rattlers lost their first home game of the season today against Jacksonville University Dolphins, in the Al Lawson Center.

FAMU was one able to mange one match against JU 3-1 (21-25, 19-25, 25-15, 18-25).

The Lady Rattlers will return to action on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 8 as they will face the University of Miami.

Godby cruises past Leon

The score was 13-9 with just over 90 seconds left in the third quarter. Then it was all the Cougars after that. The Godby High football team broke down a two year losing streak to rival Leon on Thursday night with a 37-9 victory that was sparked by two scoring plays 35 seconds apart.
