TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (www.franchisesportsonline.net) – The Florida A&M Rattlers (2-4, 2-1 MEAC) will host Savannah State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference battler Saturday afternoon at Bragg Memorial Stadium.
FAMU dropped their first conference game of the season, last Saturday, to Howard at Greene Stadium in Washington, D.C., 17-10.
Savannah State dropped their fifth game of the season to Morgan State, 45-6 at Ted Wright Stadium in Savannah, Ga.
This will be the fifth meeting between the Tigers and the Rattlers with FAMU leading the series 4-0. The first time, these two teams met was in 1927 with the Rattlers winning, 18-0.
The Rattlers blanked the Tigers, 31-0 in the 2010 season. Last season, FAMU handed SSU a 47-7 loss on the road.

FAMU head coach Joe Taylor is currently 5-0 lifetime against the Tigers. Taylor got his first win against SSU in 2003, when he and his Hampton Pirates defeated the Tigers, 48-13 in 2003.
In 2010, Coach Taylor led the Rattlers to a victory over the Tigers, 31-0 at Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla.
The Rattlers’ will take the field at 6 p.m. to face SSU in their fourth MEAC battle of the season.
