TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (Sept.7) – The Florida A&M men’s cross country team repeated as the championsof the Fifth annual Bobby Lang Cross COuntry Invitational, on the campus of Florida A&M University. Sophomore Kevin Marindich led the way for the Rattlers as he finished the 5K in 16:35.45, just ahead of teammate and 2012 MEAC cross country athlete of the year Elias Chesire.
Dieumy Duclos crossed the line in 17:54.31, and Robyel Kidane finished seventh in 18:11.41. McDaniel Olivier sealed the victory for the Rattlers, coming in at 19:22:06, placing 16th overall.
Roman Strovinski placed 23rd, coming in at 20:28.53, while middle distance runners Troy Pollard and jabrelle Crawford placed 26th and 30th respectively. Pollard ran 20:46.63, while Crawford timed out at 21:23.48
The Rattlers took first place with 30 points, followed by Bethune-Cookman with 48 and Tennessee St. took third with 56 points.
The Rattlers will return to action on Saturday as they visit Gainesville, FL for the Mountain Dew Invitational.
