FAMU Football Fan Day – August 11

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida A&M Rattler football Team will hold their annual Media Day and Fan Appreciation at the Alfred Lawson, Jr., Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium on Sat., Aug. 11, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The FAMU Football players and coaching staff will be available exclusively to the media from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Kevin Elliott and Brian Tyms Sign Free Agent Offers

FAMU head football coach Joe Taylor knew during Spring drills that he would have to replace key elements of his receiver corps, but he could not possibly have predicted that both of his graduating wide receivers would be offered free agent contracts by the NFL. Brian Tyms has been offered to play for the San Francisco 49ers and Kevin Elliott has been offered to play with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The offeres came after Elliott and Tyms wowed scouts at the annual FAMU pro timing day event. Elliot and Tyms stole the show at the on-campus combine, drawing all of the attention of the scouts by the end of the workout
