Florida State football players Shawn Powell, Dustin Hopkins and Zebrie Sanders all made All-ACC honors this year.
Senior Punter Shawn Powell, from Rome, Ga., leads the nation in both punting and net punting. He has 21 punts in excess of 50 yards. His longest is a 69-yarder which is also the longest among league punters, according to seminoles.com. Powell was a three-tiime ACC Specialist of the Week honoree, which is the most by any player in that category. According to seminole.com, Powell is the first Seminole in 20 years of ACC membership to be selected as a first team punter.
Junior kicker Dustin Hopkins, from Houstio, Taxas leads the ACC in scoring with 104 points and a total of 20 field goals. He has converted all 44 of his extra point attempts. His +school record now sits at 130 successful conversions which is the second-longest streak in ACC history.
