Tallahassee RollerGirls start their 6th season by tearing through the region

Tallahassee named as a WFTDA team to watch for the 2012 season!

Tallahassee, March 27, 2012: The Tallahassee RollerGirls started their 6th season on February 11th and quickly showed that they mean business. Capital Punishment is 3-0 heading into this weekend’s away two-bout tour of South Carolina. Capital Punishment will play against the Columbia Quad Squad (#25 National Power Rankings by Derby News Network) on Saturday March 31st in Columbia, SC and then take on the Low Country High Rollers of Charleston on Sunday, April 1st.

Capital Punishment has started out the season strong, building on late last season win against fellow Florida WFTDA team, the Gold Coast Derby Girls (#9 WFTDA South Central). Capital Punishment has been outscoring their opponents 2:1, starting the season off with a 215-178 win over the Green Country Rollergirls (#7 WFTDA South Central), a 181-86 win over NW Arkansas Roller Derby, and 223-89 win over the Charlotte Rollergirls.

Capital Punishment is eager to bring home all the action to their hometown fans. The first Tallahassee RollerGirls home bout will be Saturday, April 14th, at Tallahassee Skate Inn on Blountstown Highway. They will welcome returning friends, the Big Easy Rollergirls from New Orleans, LA.
